How important do you think spiritual faith is to happiness?
I just read an article on strategies for happiness linked to the yahoo home page. Here's the link:
http://health.yahoo.com/experts/theprinciples/8059/5-strategies-for-real-happiness/
The section of the article entitled "Turn it Over!" is especially relevant to my question. After reading what the author thinks, I am eager to know, do you think there is a relationship between spiritual faith and happiness?
I'm sure that for some people there is a relationship between spiritual faith and happiness. I don't think that it applies to everyone. Some people find happiness through simplicity without the need for materialism. Others may find happiness in nature and live within the natural world far from civilization. Some people have a need to put their faith into deity forms which exist in many cultures and have many different names and faces.

The best I could do is browse the magazine site. http://www.health.com/health/ Their archives online only go back as far as 2008, but on their "help" page it suggests "How do I find past articles from Health magazine? Many articles that have appeared in Health magazine are archived right here on Health.com. Find them by keyword or by title using the Health.com search form, located at the top of the site. Or, go to our magazine page to find stories. If you can't locate the story on Health.com, please send an email to health@timeinc.com or send your request via the U.S. Postal Service to Article/Recipe Request, Health Magazine, 2100 Lakeshore Dr., Birmingham, AL 35209. It generally takes two to four weeks to process requests."
If coke can dissolve a nail in 4 days, why can't it dissolve the plastic bottle it's kept in...ever?
There are a lot of rumours about cokes acidic properties and how it can dissolve pennies in 4 days and how it is used to clean blood off of a highway after an accident...but if that's the case...why doesn't it dissolve the plastic that it's kept it. Plastic is not harder or more durable than metal!

- Theists donated much more money to organizations than secular/agnostic/atheists, etc. - People have better health when they are spiritual. i think these are just coincidences, like let's say we came out with a statistic that said 60% of blondes passed the English test while 65% of redheads passed. there no real reason based on their hair color why they scored better they just happened too. - Skepticism of evolution theory is increasing worldwide. haha that's funny - Isaac Newton was a Christian. good for him but it seems like these facts could have been easily made up
