The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment
Spiritual discernment is good for more than just making monumental decisions according to God's will. It is an essential, day-to-day activity that allows thoughtful Christians to separate the truth of God from error and to distinguish right from wrong in all kinds of settings and situations. It is also a skill-something that any person can develop and improve, especially with the guidance in this book. Written by a leading evangelical blogger, The Discipline of Spiritual Discernment is an uplifting, scripturally grounded work that explains the need for discernment, its challenges, and the steps that will cultivate it. Author Tim Challies does not do the discerning for readers; he simply shows them how to practically apply scriptural tools, principles, and wisdom so that their conclusions about everything-people, teachings, decisions, media, and organizations-will be consistent with God's Word.

Dating and Spiritual Growth. Have you seen that article recently on Yahoo!.?
A few days back on the Yahoo News there was an article about dating and how similar it was to seeking God/Higher Power. If anyone knows where I can find it again, please let me know. I LOVED IT, sorry I didn't save it. Thanks, Maryanne

Do you acknowledge them, in a spiritual sense?
There is still more water than anything in my body.

The best I could do is browse the magazine site. http://www.health.com/health/ Their archives online only go back as far as 2008, but on their "help" page it suggests "How do I find past articles from Health magazine? Many articles that have appeared in Health magazine are archived right here on Health.com. Find them by keyword or by title using the Health.com search form, located at the top of the site. Or, go to our magazine page to find stories. If you can't locate the story on Health.com, please send an email to health@timeinc.com or send your request via the U.S. Postal Service to Article/Recipe Request, Health Magazine, 2100 Lakeshore Dr., Birmingham, AL 35209. It generally takes two to four weeks to process requests."
Do you know that, Fear and guilt are two very powerful components of spiritual abuse?
( Check the link for more information) http://www.churchabuse.com/articles/spiritual_abuse_articles/healing_spiritual_abuse_002.html.
we can be successful for 15 second Maximum ( exaggerating to make a point) by using fear and and guilt to motivate people. We Human beings are NOT created for fear, We, are created for LOVE and FAITH
So with that said, What is the point of using fear and guilt to motivate people?
Your thoughts please?

Those spiritual leaders who use fear and abuse to frighten their people are not moved by the Holy Spirit who is our Comforter to edify, exhort and comfort believers. These leaders do not manifest the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit to bless God's people are moving in their own flesh. God bless you
